“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”
Our great and wondrous Lord has provided the ultimate end of times starting with his return to earth. To know the end of the story, all we need do is read Revelations. Paul wrote of the end times in much detail. However the description is not easy to understand completely and subject to many interpretations. We know that it will happen, someday. A day which no one knows the time or day. Each person must be ready. Each generation must be ready. It is up to us to tell the story and pass on the most essential part to our spouse, children, family and friends. Will living through these times be difficult? Absolutely. Will it be unfair towards Christians? Absolutely. Will we need to be strong in our faith? Absolutely. Is the ending worth the fight? Absolutely.
Are we trained and ready for the final event? Have we strengthened our faith, increased our trust in the Lord? prepared our mental ability to combat an unending all-out attack? Are we able to endure?
We need, with the help of our Lord Jesus Christ, to address these questions. We need to become comfortable with our decision, and accept the reality awaiting us.
Dear Lord, we want to be acceptable unto you. Our hearts and minds are in sync as we think of the day when we can begin spending eternity with you. We love you Lord. We are committed to being your faithful servants until we are together forever. We are not perfect and we ask for your forgiveness for our faults against your word. Guide us, teach us and help us along our path. Our faith is in you Lord. Amen
Note: I have always thought that if I could pick any moment in time to exist I would pass on so many monumental events and choose the end times. To be witness to the Majesty, Power and Glory of our Lord as he claims his children.
