Christmas Day December 25, 2014

Luke 2:15-20
When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”
So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

The greatest miracle on earth was the night of Jesus’ birth. The angels gave the good news to the shepherds while they were watching their flocks that night. The shepherds announced it to everyone that came within their sight. But Mary, quiet and serene, kept all her thoughts inside. She was a brand-new mother, and she surely beamed with pride. How wonderful of God to bring a baby, His son. He would grow up to save us, the Might King. He’s the one.

Thank you, God, for Jesus. We don’t understand such love. We’re just mere mortals on this earth, and you watch from above. Amen.

Born with the animals, born to be King,
Born to be Ruler of everything!
Thanks be to God for this glorious night
Thank you God, for bringing us the light!

God bless you on this Christmas Day!
