Isaiah 52: 7-9

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!”

Listen!  Your watchmen lift up their voices, together they shout for joy.  When the Lord returns to Zion, they will see it with their own eyes.  Burst into songs of joy together, you ruins of Jerusalem, for the Lord has comforted his people, he has redeemed Jerusalem.

Today is my birthday.  I am thankful to be living!

Some elderly say, “Why am I still here?”  I say, “God has something for you still to do on earth”.  Let us strive to do what we can every single day to please God.  Bring joy to others with your voice, laughter, good deed or smile.

Heavenly Father, may we be grateful for every day you give us.  May we do your will, however small, daily.  Amen
