Isaiah 52:7-9

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!”

Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices; together they shout for joy. When the Lord returns to Zion, they will see it with their own eyes. Burst into songs of joy together, you ruins of Jerusalem,

for the Lord has comforted his people, he has redeemed Jerusalem.

We patiently wait, watching for the sign(s) the signal that one day our Lord Jesus will return. He has foretold those who have opened their hearts and minds to his word of this day. When we meet Jesus what will you do? Will you fall onto your knees and pray, or jump for joy, or not be able to do anything at all? I hope and pray that my heart leads my mind and body to act and follow. Rejoice and be happy for the Lord God reigns, peace, good tiding and salvation. All will witness this joyous event. Until that day we are to be servants to our Lord. Who do you need to give the Good News? Do you regret the things you have not done?

Prayer (from

God of hope, who brought love into this world, be the love that dwells between us. God of hope, who brought peace into this world, be the peace that dwells between us. God of hope, who brought joy into this world, be the joy that dwells between us. God of hope, be the rock we stand upon, the center, the focus of our lives always, and particularly in this Advent time.  Amen.
