Psalm 32

Our God, you bless everyone whose sins you forgive and wipe away. You bless them by saying, “You told me your sins, without trying to hide them, and now I forgive you.”

Before I confessed my sins, my bones felt limp, and I groaned all day long. Night and day your hand weighed heavily on me, and my strength was gone as in the summer heat. So I confessed my sins and told them all to you. I said, “I’ll tell the LORD each one of my sins.” Then you forgave me and took away my guilt.

David writes about the Lord’s blessing of those who go to him and confess their sins without trying to hide or cover up. How many times we find ourselves caught in a web of expanding lies and actions. What pain we suffer. The Lord tells us to come to him, with an open heart and tell the Lord of all our sins. The Lord will than forgive and provide comfort.

Gracious Lord, I come to you to confess my sins. I have no excuses for my actions and I humbly ask that you take pity on me for wandering off of your pathway. I submit myself to you. Lord I love you and want to be your servant, help me to be that person. Amen
