Psalm 27:4-6

One thing I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: to live in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.

For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will set me high on a rock.

Now my head is lifted up above my enemies all around me, and I will offer in his tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and make melody to the LORD.

I have asked you, Lord, to let me live in your house all the days of my life. You are my hiding place when trouble comes and you will be with me there. You will not leave me by myself. You will be there to guide me through trouble and enemies. You will lift me high upon a rock and hide me in your tent. The Lord is beautiful and I will look for him in his palace.

Every time God gives us help, we are sure that he will be there to help us again. In return I will sing with joy. Singing has such a unique way of bringing your heart, soul, mind and strength together to focus entirely and completely on God. I will sing and make melody to the Lord. Feeling the Holy Spirit.

The Lord is the strength of my life.

Psalm 27 is written by David and it is a reflection of how his faith in the power of God sustained him through many trials. David wants to know God and worship him through all his beauty.

Dear God, I feel so good knowing that you are here with me night and day. I look outside and see all your beauty surrounding me and I smile when I think about what a wonderful and caring creator you are.

I don’t walk around in fear. I know the beauty of you is all around me. The faith that is beside me knowing that you will be here to protect me from all evil and enemies. My dear Lord I will live all my days in your palace and always hold you close to my heart.

Sometimes I catch myself singing to you. It brings such joy to me. When there is a gloomy day outside dear Lord I see your beauty and the day turns to sunshine.

Dear God, You are the greatest beauty of all. AMEN
