2 Peter 3:8-9
But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

This is a timeless scripture that reminds me that with the Lord there is not the same time frame as the rest of the world has. In waiting for advent we are being rushed by the modern media to rush through this season. Remember to take time to be present with the Lord and the Lord will be patient with us.
Until we meet again…

Lord of Hope, I long for the time when your glory shall be revealed, when what now is hidden will dawn into a glorious future. Help me wait patiently for that day, and in the meantime trust your voice, guiding me along a path I do not know. Amen.
